North Cross @ Fork Union
North Cross will take on the Fieldale Ducks today, Friday, November 6th at 3pm at Willis Field on the North Cross campus in Southwest County in Roanoke, VA.
The Ducks are, in essence, an all-star team of Southside high school football players. Head Coach Tony Odell coached most all of these young men on a youth all-star team when they were younger, so this team is a reunion of sorts. The Ducks are made up of players from Bassett, Magna Vista, Martinsville, GW-Danville high schools in Henry and Pittsylvania Counties. The Ducks have played seven games so far during this pandemic altered season from Virginia and North Carolina. You can expect them to throw the ball.
North Cross is coming off a big 28-20 come from behind win at Fork Union pushing their record to 3-0. The Raiders also like to throw the pigskin around. It should be an entertaining contest. Come out today and support the young men with your presence if you able.
