Welcome to our first Crunch Boys & Girls Basketball and Wrestling online edition. We have been following football for 25 years now, and with a move towards more online coverage, we have finally decided take a shot at covering more sports. In order to do this will need to crawl before we walk, and then run. We are starting limited number of area high school teams – Cave Spring, Hidden Valley, Patrick Henry, William Fleming, Salem, Northside, William Byrd, Lord Botetourt, William Byrd, Glenvar,North Cross, and Roanoke Catholic, Yes, it’s ambitious,. Yes, we will need you to be patient, But we also need your support. At first, we are asking for reader donations. The 2020 Online basketball site will initially be free. Having said that, if you feel compelled to support the Crunch Basketball online offering, we are accepting donations. Anything will help us keep this thing going. You can mail to:

Crunch is a high school sports media company that was established in 1995 by Carl York in Southwest Virginia. Crunch started solely as a FREE high school football print publication that focused on area high school football. The secret to Crunch is the willingness of area coaches, each week, to talk about their teams, players, and the sport that they have dedicated their lives to for the betterment of our young athletes. Today, Crunch has grown to cover 38 high schools in 15 counties in central and Southwestern Virginia with three unique weekly versions in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley.
