Hidden Valley @ Cave Spring
Cave Spring and Hidden Valley met for the second time this year with the Knights getting the win 50-40. This game was a battle from the start marked by tough defense, shooting droughts by both teams, and plenty of personal fouls. These two teams know each other well. Both clubs now advance to the Regional playoffs next week. Cave Spring will get an opening night bye. Hidden Valley will take on Bassett, who hasn’t played a game yet this year.

In a game where the Lady Cavs led for most of the way, the William Fleming Colonels rallied at the right time and beat Lord Botetourt 54-49. It was Senior night for the Colonels and the Seniors showed up. Fleming was led by S Anderson with 22 points. G 3 Tori Board pitched in with nine. Both are Seniors. Botetourt was led by G/F 10 Grace Taylor with 20 points.
February 4th, 2021 – Girls Basketball
William Fleming 54 – Lord Bot 49
Patrick Henry took down the Salem Spartans Tuesday night but it wasn’t easy. The final tally was 62-55 but the Patriots used a big third quarter to come from behind and secure the win for Coach Jack Esworthy. PH was led by PG 1 Jamonte ‘Bird’ Smith with eighteen. G 15 Jack Faulkner and F/C 3 Abu Yarmah both contributed 16 apiece to the winning cause. Coach Micah Boyd’s Spartans were led by G 0 Owyn Dawyat with twenty-two. G 1 Tanner Dallas had fourteen and G 2 Qualee Moses-Robinson added eleven.
