Brooke Point @ Patrick Henry
When it rains it pours. That old chestnut can go either way, good or bad. For Patrick Henry on Tuesday night it was all good. Sophomore 14 Brooks Derey rained down threes, seven on the night, and that proved too much firepower for the visiting Black Hawks of Brooke Point. Derey finished with twenty eight. Senior point guard 1 Jamonte ‘Bird’ Smith added fifteen, while G 15 Jack Faulkner and F 3 Abu Yarmah pitched in with nine apiece. Brooke Point was led by G 11 Edward Simms with thirteen, the Black Hawks only double digit scorer.

The Patrick Henry girls team beat city rival William Fleming 64-27 to advance in the state playoffs on Tuesday night. Patrick Henry was led by G 25 Sallejah Childress and F 22 Savannah Derey with seventeen points each. Fleming played a ‘box and one’ zone around G 3 Shelby Fiddler to try and keep her points down. Fiddler finishded with seven. Fleming was led by G Tori Board with eleven and F 24 Shak Anderson kicked in with nine.
