The Vikes took the lead on that possession and never relinquished it after that. Northside was led by Sophomore G/F 11 Lawrence Cole with twenty six points followed by G/F 10 Ayrion Journiette with twenty one. Botetourt was led by G/F 15 Tilley, who also netted twenty six. The third time was a charm for the Patrick Henry Patriots when they took on their cross town rival the William Fleming Colonels.  But it was more than just a charm they were playing for.  This game was for the 5D Regional Crown. The clash lived up to it’s history. It was a battle that would not be decided until the last second of the game.  Or to be more exact, till the last .3 second of the game. At the heart of the ending was a controversial foul call and ensuing foul shot. There was contact, but a question as to whether the final horn had already sounded. Regardless, Sophomore sharp shooter Brooks Derey decided it at the line, making the first and missing the second on purpose. The Colonels were led by C. J. Goode with 20pts, Elijah Mitchell chipped in 15, Jaron Walker and Malachi Jackson had 9 and 8 respectively.  The Pats were led by Jamonte “Bird” Smith with 20pts, Jack Faulkner with 18pts, Brooks Derey 12pts and Abu Yarmon added 11.
