Crunch radio week 19 of 2023 CrunchTIME, your high school Live radio show for central and southwest Virginia high school sports.
On today’s show we recap the State Championship for football held last Saturday. Three of our four Crunch teams participating won state championships. Crunch had reporters and photographers at all four games. Today you’ll hear post game comments from LCA Head Coach Frank Rocco, Radford Head Coach Michael Crist, and Galax Head Coach Shane Allen – all winners in their state final contest. We also touch on the Titan Toughman Wrestling Tourney and the victors in the specific weight classes, held last Friday and Saturday at Hidden Valley H.S. In basketball, we touch on the early season records of boys and girls basketball teams in the Roanoke Valley.
Also in our show today we announce this year’s 2023 Crunch-C.P. York Scholarship winner – Cave Spring OL/DL 70 Preston Lonker, and our Crunch Coaches of the year, Offensive player(s) of the year, and Defensive player(s) of the year in our three Crunch areas – Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley.
