William Fleming dominates in first day of Dual Event in Roanoke
William Fleming High School, Roanoke, VA – William Fleming looked dominate in the first day of the William Fleming duals in Roanoke. Even though the weather cut the field from twelve to four teams, that didn’t effect the effort put out by the wrestlers who did make it.
Besides the host, William Fleming, EC Glass, Magna Vista, and Roanoke Catholic all made the trek. Coach Tim Nininger’s crew dominated the first day going 3-0. The Colonels beat EC Glass 60-9, Roanoke Catholic 54-16, and Magna Vista 57-9. Magna Vista stands in second. They beat EC Glass by a point 36-35. Outpaced Roanoke Catholic 42-27, while dropping the nightcap to Fleming. Glass finished 1-2. Catholic was 0-2.
Saturday’s top three places will be decided between Fleming, Glass, and Magna Vista.
