Crunch radio week 21 of 2024 CrunchTIME, your high school Live radio show for central and southwest Virginia high school sports.
On today’s show we are recapping this week’s action in area Boys & Girls Basketball, and updating the schedule for area wrestling matches/tourneys. We also recap the first day of the annual Chance Harmon tourney up in Floyd. The second day was postponed due to weather to today, January 13, 2024. A lot of news in the world of sports. Michigan beat Washington in the NCAA’s National Championship game for football. Also three legendary coaches, 2 in the NFL and one in the college ranks opted to step away from the game. New England Patriot’s legend, Bill Belichick, and Seattle Seahawks head man, Pete Carroll, both decided to call it quits in the NFL. While the most prolific head coach in college football since it’s inception, Nick Saban of Alabama, also decided to go the retirement route.
Also in our show today, from this past VHSL football season we highlight local players who were name all state in 1A. The other classes have all been named.
