Crunch radio week 26 of 2024 CrunchTIME, your high school Live radio show for central and southwest Virginia high school sports.
On today’s show we are talking VHSL State Championship Wrestling and some great Crunch Boys and Girls basketball games this past week. Championship Wrestling has the Salem Civic Center hosting 1A-2A-3A and Virginia Beach Sports Center hosting 4A-5A-6A. Staunton River (3A) is the number one team in the state including all classes, and are in good position to repeat as 3A state champions in todays finals. Strasburg looks poised to finish on top in 2A, and Grundy continues to own 1A. In 4A Woodgrove looks poised to win the team championship in their class. While Mountain View high school and Frank Cox look the part in 5A and 6A. We also had some really good basketball games this week. The Northside boys came back to beat William Fleming in the Blue Ridge final, and the Lord Botetourt girls outlasted the Fleming girls. Those great matchups and more.
