Welcome to CrunchTIME radio week 7 – Fall of 2024, your high school, Live radio show for central and southwest Virginia high school sports.
It’s Crunch TIME Baby!….On today’s show we are talking fall sports. Hurricane Helene forced our weekly games to be spread out over several days. We had 12 games on Thursday. A handful of games on Friday and Saturday, and a few more moved to Monday. Our three scheduled games of the week were Altavista @ William Campbell (Thursday night), Salem @ Patrick Henry (Thursday night), and Fort Chiswell @ Eastern Montgomery (Saturday after today’s show at noon). On the show you’ll hear from Jefferson Forest Coach J.T. Crews after a big 28-7 win over previously unbeaten Rustburg. You can go find their full interviews on crunchhssports.com, and you’ll get to see the coaches and players themselves tell their story. In show number seven we are into week 5 of the regular season of football. Later this week we’ll have a few videos of the action up as well.
Our Wrestling segment with Roanoke College Wrestling Coach Nate Yetzer, “Just say Yetz – No Holds Barred brought to you by Sportshaven.” This week we ask the Coach Yetzer about training for the sport and how his wrestlers condition.
