Welcome to CrunchTIME radio week 19 – Fall of 2024, your high school, Live radio show for central and southwest Virginia high school sports.
It’s Crunch TIME Baby!….On today’s show we are recapping all six state championship football games today. The state Championships had Essex 22-0 over Grayson County in 1A, and Graham 31-8 over Strasburg in 2A at Salem Stadium. At Liberty University in 3A it was LCA (Liberty Christian Academy) 42-6 over Kettle Run and 4A had Phoebus 23-6 over Varina. And the big schools were at James Madison University in 5A Maury 46-0 over Briar Woods, and 6A saw Oscar Smith hold off James Madison 21-20 on a last play of the game 2 point try for Madison that came up just short. Crunch also highlighted upcoming events in Wrestling and Basketball. Today is the Big Orange Tourney. In basketball next weekend is the NIT (Northside Invitational Tournament) at Northside and the Knights Basketball Invitational at Cave Spring. The weekend after that is the Chance Harmon basketball tournament up in Floyd. We are in CrunchTIME show number 19 we are into week 17.
