Today’s show we’re talking about last Saturday’s Virginia High School State Semifinals in football as well as previewing today’s state championship matchups. There is one Crunchland team still alive in their pursuit of a state championship and that is the Glenvar Highlanders who will take on Strasburg at 11:20 am at Salem Field. Grayson County lost a nailbiter 7-6 to Rye Cove in Class 1A. Glenvar beat Union at Big Stone Gap 21-20 on a goal line stand with :02 left in the game. LCA lost 29-28 to Kettle Run – the team they beat in last year’s state finals – after leading the contest 28-3 at halftime. And Jefferosn Forest lost to Varina 49-21 in Class 4A. All good games.
