Welcome to CrunchTIME radio, promoting high school sports with a special emphasis on Central and SW Virginia High School Football.
It’s 2026 week 3, and we are back at it for another year of Crunch High School Sports. Our focus on this preseason show is mainly football. This is our first week of football for most high school football teams. We talk about some area games including Graham-Bluefield, WV, Glenvar @ LCA, Basset @ Franklin County, Southern Alamance, NC @ Patrick Henry, James River vs Auburn, Floyd County vs Narrows, and Salem @ EC Glass. We get some postgame comments from Graham Head Coach Tony Palmer and LCA Head Coach Tyler Meeks. We also talk a little bit to two new area coaches, Scott Jennings of Liberty-Bedford and Dakoda Shrader of Narrows. You’ll want to hear what the coaches have to say. Crunchland is expanding this year from 47 high schools to 80. We are adding a couple new Crunch versions – Southside Crunch and SW Mountain Crunch this fall. On this show you’ll also hear our ‘way-too-early’ great 8 team rankings, so check us out.
