The show features our U.S. Cellular-Crunch a midweek interview with Cave Spring head basketball coach Jacob Gruse after the Knights big win in the state semifinal game against Northside on Monday and then a segment of their post game news conference after their state championship win on Thursday. We also have a great segment with another state champion coach on the show. Cave Spring Competition Cheer Head Coach Jen Koll speaks with us about the sport and all the hard work that goes into it. We also spoke with Cave Spring head basketball coach Jacob Gruse and his two assistant coaches – Greg Mackey, and Derrick Roth after Friday night’s win over Fluvanna County. Up I-81, in the Valley, Crunch talked with Northside Viking head basketball coach Bill Pope after the Viking’s win Friday night. Crunch started solely as a FREE high school football print publication that focused on area high school football. Today, Crunch has grown to cover 38 high schools in 15 counties in central and Southwestern Virginia with three unique weekly versions in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley.
