This show features conversations around last weeks State Semifinal games and today’s upcoming state Championship games. We have post game interviews with Heritage Head Football Coach Brad Bradley, and Christiansburg Head Coach Alex Wilkens. Two Crunch teams remain alive in the hunt for a state championship – Heritage, and George Wythe. Crunch is also transitioning to Boys & Girls Basketball and Wrestling. We feature a couple interviews with William Fleming Head Coach Mickey Hardy and Fleming player Isaiah Higgs after the Colonels big 2 point, walk off win over Roanoke City Rival Patrick Henry. We touch on scores for both girls and boys basketball. We also talk a little bit about the River Rumble Wrestling Tournament in Staunton River. Crunch started solely as a FREE high school football print publication that focused on area high school football. The secret to Crunch is the willingness of area coaches, each week, to talk about their teams, players, and the sport that they have dedicated their lives to for the betterment of our young athletes. Today, Crunch has grown to cover 38 high schools in 15 counties in central and Southwestern Virginia with three unique weekly versions in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley.
