Welcome to CrunchTIME Radio (WPLY AM/FM), week 2 of high school football season. We are a week away from the season’s start. On today’s show our  US Cellular-Crunch Hotline guest is Coach Frank Rocco,  Liberty Christian Academy Head Coach. The head man takled a little about last year’s Bulldog teaam, as well as the number 1 lineman in the country, Senior Zach Rice, as well as others. Also on the show with pre recorded conversatons with three of our area’s new coaches – Auburn’s David Seabaugh, Jefferson Forest’s J.T. Crews, and Cave Spring’s new leader, Nick Leftwich. We follow that up with a highlight of a previous interview with our Haley Toyota ‘Legends of the Game’ this week, Coach Jim Moscaro (fomerly the head man at North Cross in Roanoke). Finally, we finish off the show with our weekly features – Jimmy Whitaker’s ‘Jimmy Thang’ segment, the “5 things you need to know about High School Football this week,” and the Crunch Great 8 Poll. Crunch started solely as a FREE high school football print publication that focused on area high school football. The secret to Crunch is the willingness of area coaches, each week, to talk about their teams, players, and the sport that they have dedicated their lives to for the betterment of our young athletes. Today, Crunch has grown to cover 38 high schools in 15 counties in central and Southwestern Virginia with three unique weekly versions in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and the New River Valley.
